Christmas at Spice Lounge Kitchen

Are you looking for something different this Christmas? Do you want to spend time with your family while enjoying Indian flavours? Spice Lounge Kitchen has exactly what you need! We’re offering a special menu for Christmas day (PDF), perfect for anyone who wishes to leave their normal routine behind and experience something new during this festive season.

And a great benefit of choosing us for your Christmas meal is that you don’t have to cook or do the washing up afterward! So, what can you expect from our new menu?

Aperitifs and Starters

What better way to start your Christmas meal than with a tomato and coriander spicy soup? Our aperitif is designed to make your mouth water and give you a little taste of what’s to come. You can choose between several starters, such as saffron spiced chicken tikka and elaichi ka salmon, which are salmon fillet pieces infused with cardamom and a deliciously creamy marinade.

We also offer champagne sorbet before the main meal, so that you can rest your palate and prepare it for the intense flavours that are to come!

Main Courses

Instead of the usual roast dinner, opt for something different on Christmas day, like murgh kolihiwada, a beautiful curry blended with onions, tomatoes, cashews, peanuts and coconut, seasoned with mustard seeds.

If you prefer fish, you can also enjoy our madhurai meen kolambu, tasty haddock cooked in fresh coconut and South Indian spices – a dish from the Tamil Nadu region. And we also have lamb dishes at your disposal, such as nawabi mutton korma, lamb cooked and infused with cardamom and served with korma sauce.

There’s something for every taste so, if you still prefer a Christmas dish you’re used to, we also make a delicious turkey meal with all the trimmings.

Side Dishes

To accompany the main meal and if our bread basket is not enough, we offer jeera daal, which are lentils mixed with cumin, aloo shimlamirch, a combination of potatoes and green peppers infused with spices, and spinach corn. And, of course, rice, either pilau or boiled, according to your preferences!

Desserts

No Christmas meal would be complete without dessert. From our Christmas pudding with cherry brandy sauce, our chocolate deluxe cake with green apple slices, and our gajar ka halwa with malai sauce – a sweet carrot pudding – we’re sure you’ll be delighted with the flavours and thoroughly enjoy our Christmas desserts!
